Welcome
Hi, I'm Teresa Chan, a registered counsellor (MBACP) offering integrative psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and older adults in Surrey. I support clients to better understand their inner experiences — including those shaped by trauma, grief, and difficult life events — and to move toward meaningful change, growth, and self-acceptance.
Therapy can be a space to slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what feels overwhelming or difficult to carry alone.
You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, grief, trauma, disordered eating, or difficulties in relationships or family life. You may also feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of why things feel the way they do.
Whatever brings you here, therapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore your experiences at your own pace, without judgement.

My Approach
Emotional and psychological difficulties are often meaningful responses to life experiences, rather than something that needs to be “fixed.” With the right support, it is possible to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, alongside greater resilience and self-compassion.
My approach is integrative, relational, and trauma-informed. I work collaboratively, drawing on different therapeutic models to meet your individual needs, while remaining attentive to the pace and depth that feels right for you.
I support adults, adolescents, and older adults with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, trauma and complex trauma, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, grief, and experiences of loss or transition.
I offer a warm, reflective, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your inner world with care and curiosity. Over time, this process can support a more grounded sense of self, greater emotional clarity, and the capacity to respond to life in ways that feel more balanced and sustainable.
